Mortgage distribution and property-transaction technology are becoming more connected. Iress has added Coventry Building Society and Godiva to Acre to reduce duplicate broker data entry, while E4 Strategic has launched VERSA Convey, a digital workflow platform for property exchange. Other market developments include sale-ready conveyancing services and integrated homebuying propositions combining mortgage advice, conveyancing, surveys and insurance.
These developments matter in a market where higher rates and slower house-price growth can make conversion and completion certainty more valuable. ONS figures showed UK house prices up 1.4% year-on-year in July, while Barratt Redrow has cut its near-term completions target, citing planning delays. Reducing avoidable friction after an offer is accepted could therefore become a meaningful differentiator for advice firms.
AI implication: advisers should look for systems that surface stalled tasks, missing evidence and fall-through risks early, rather than merely adding another client portal. Integration quality, consent management, accurate records and clear ownership of each hand-off are more important than an “AI-powered” label.
