Acre has rebranded as Score, marking the next stage of ClearScore’s expansion into mortgages and an accelerated technology roadmap. Separately, The Mortgage Hut has adopted Instamo’s FastSubmit tool, designed to populate decisions in principle and full applications using data already held in the case.

These developments underline how mortgage technology is moving beyond lead management towards connected workflows, pre-filled applications and smarter use of client data. AI may increasingly support document extraction, data-quality checks, next-best-action prompts and case progression—but the commercial value will depend on clean records, secure permissions and well-designed adviser oversight.

Firms evaluating mortgage AI should prioritise integrations, data provenance, Consumer Duty evidence and the ability to correct automated outputs. Faster submissions are useful only if the underlying data is accurate and the client still receives suitable, comprehensible advice.
