The Government has launched the Warm Homes Loan Scheme, offering no- and low-interest finance for household energy-efficiency measures, with repayment terms of up to 30 years in some cases. This creates a useful advice conversation beyond the initial mortgage: clients may need to compare retrofit finance with additional borrowing, secured loans, savings or a remortgage. Green improvements may also become more relevant to property value, insurance and future lending decisions.
